Yes, some owners use local real estate agents to conduct short term leases.

Access

Can the public walk into Delgany to look around?

Delgany is a private property and public cannot just walk in. In 2022 Open Gardens Victoria are holding two open garden days for the public on 25th and 26th February. Details can be found on opengardensvictoria.org.au

Is there access to Portsea golf course from Delgany?

Yes, there is a pedestrian gate which Delgany residents can use by House 3 on the northern driveway. Residents are able to walk around the walking tracks at the golf course and can walk dogs on these paths.

How is the Owners corporation structured?

There are two owners corporations; Owners corporation 1 includes all residences and common property. Owners Corporation 2 is only the 18 castle apartments. The ground level of the castle exterior is part of Owners Corporation 1. The exterior above level 1 is part of Owners corporation 2 and includes the castle roof.

How often are Owners Corporation fees get charged?

Quarterly

How often is the rubbish collected?

Rubbish and recycling is collected weekly on Monday mornings. The property manager or a delegate places the bins out from the townhouses, northern and southern carparks on Sunday afternoons and replaces then on Monday afternoon.

Do owners get a rates discount for living in a heritage listed property?

Yes, there is a rates discount for all owners as council recognises the particular demands of maintaining a heritage property.

Is there a full time gardener?

Yes, VIcki Andrews combines the roles of gardener and property manager and works Monday to Friday and is on call for emergencies.

Does Delgany have a maintenance program?

Yes, there is ongoing maintenance conducted across the property which the Owners Corporation Committee reviews and the Property Manager coordinates. The property manager ensures the property is constantly maintained.

Is the pool heated all year?

The pool is heated from the September school holidays till the end of the Easter school holidays.

Does Delgany have a Covid safe plan?

Yes, we have hand sanitiser in the gym and outside the lifts. We have QR codes on the pool, Gym and entries from the garages and front entry doors to the castle.

Is Delgany connected to South East Water sewerage?

Yes we are on mains sewerage.

Does Delgany have access to the NBN?

Yes, we have the NBN and the main connection is in the Communications cupboard at the base of the drive near Townhouse 29.

Does Delgany get regular arborist reports?

We conduct annual arborist reviews and plan major tree maintenance following on from the report. We also conduct arborist reviews following major storm events.

Does Delgany use bore water?

Yes, we have two bore water pumps.

Does Delgany have any specific security measures?

We have CCTV at the front gate entry. We have a gate keypad with code which is changed annually. All residents are encouraged to ensure entry doors are secured.

Does Delgany have fire equipment on site?

We have fire hydrants located by the letter boxes at the top of the drive and we have hydrants within the garden area near house 2 and 3. We have essential service inspections.

Can members of the public use the grounds to conduct weddings or take wedding photographs?
No.
Owners may use the grounds for wedding photos at the discretion of the Owners Corporation Committee.
